'We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Potters Barn in June 2012. Ideal accommodation for a walking holiday- comfortable, spacious sitting room, and thoughtfully designed. The village of Gosforth offers an unexpected array of shops and eateries- the village shop provides an impressive range of goods to keep you going throughout your stay, with particularly good meat on offer (delicious sausages!). The local bakery.. yum! The pies, sausage rolls and bread are fantastic. Finally, the Pizza Cafe is welcoming, offers incredibly tasty stone-baked pizzas and was a lovely spot to choose for an evening out. All the above open most days, from early until late, and very friendly. Great location, short drive to walks along the coast, or in the Mountains'. Quality 3 / 3 Facilities 2 / 3 Service 3 / 3

'Many thanks to Dick and Barbara Wright for making us feel so welcome at Well Cottage.
The cottage's location and aspect are delightful with a secluded garden that allowed us to take advantage of the late afternoon sun. The cottage itself was clean and tidy and well laid out and Dick and Barbara were more than happy to provide us with anything that we required.
It was an excellent place to have a holiday in the western Lakes and we would recommend the cottage to anybody.'
