Gosforth is a lovely, friendly village in the Lake District National Park situated between the hills and the sea in the Western Lakes region of Cumbria. This area often has a much warmer and drier climate than the rest of the Lake District.
The village centre is within five minutes walking distance and has a small group of shops which will provide most of your general needs; Newsagents, Grocers, Bakers and Cash Machine, There are several traditional pubs which serve meals and an Italian Pizza restaurant opened last year and has been getting very good reviews.
There is a new children's play park and recreation ground just down the road. Bleng forest is 5 minutes drive the other end of Gosforth, with parking.
Seascale beach is 10 minutes by car which also has a play area and there are long seaside walks here and at Drigg.
Explore the local area to find many craft centres, tea shops and traditional Lakeland pubs.
